First Steps

The Network manages the First Steps Training Coordination Project for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The project involves coordinating the required training for early intervention specialists in Missouri. Early intervention providers are required to attend a series of training modules in order to continue to provide services for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Training coordination involves scheduling sessions, contracting with trainers, and coordinating registrations. The work is carried out by the Network office and the local child care resource and referral agencies. For information, contact the First Steps Coordinator at info@moccrrn.org.

First Steps offers coordinated services and assistance to young children with special needs and their families. First Steps is designed for children, birth to 3, who have delayed development or diagnosed conditions that are associated with developmental disabilities.
