Community Resources
As more families struggle to balance work and family
responsibilities, communities have more need for information about work
and family life, including the role of child care. The Missouri Child
Care Resource and Referral Network provides for the needs of community
members by:
Collecting
and Analyzing Data
The Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network
collects and updates data on the supply and demand for child care and
available subsidies. Reliable comprehensive data drives our efforts to
address the work /family issues in Missouri. The Network provides data
on a regular basis to government agencies and policy-makers to guide funding
decisions that shape programs to improve the quality and supply of child
care in Missouri. These resources are available for use by parents, providers,
and local planners.
Data Requests
The Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network
and the 7 local Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) agencies
work in partnership to provide local, regional and statewide data to the
community. The Network is committed to making child care data available
for the purpose of contributing to research, providing services to child
care professionals and producing the most complete set of statistics on
the supply and demand of child care.
Each local CCR&R is responsible for filling requests within their
Service Delivery Area (SDA). If your request is for a specific county,
please contact your local agency.
The Network is responsible for filling data requests for multiple SDA's
and/or the entire state. Please contact the Network for more information.

Creating Materials for Community Use
The Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network
works to compile best practices and innovative ideas into brochures, booklets,
and public awareness pieces. These materials, whether geared to parents,
providers, or employers, help spread the word about the indicators and
importance of quality care.
Planning
and Implementing Local Initiatives and Collaborations
Working in partnership with state, local and private agencies, the Missouri
Child Care Resource and Referral Network plans and manages several initiatives
aimed at increasing the supply of quality child care and access to that
care.
