About CCR&R

The Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network coordinates the activities of the seven child care resource and referral agencies that serve all 115 counties in Missouri. We advocate for high quality, affordable, and accessible care for all Missouri families.
We believe Good Beginnings Last a Lifetime.

Child care resource and referral agencies exist in all counties in Missouri and in virtually all parts of the country. We work to improve the quality and supply
of child care through a number of different strategies. Our audiences include parents, employers, child care providers, and other community members.

Parent Services

  • We assist families in locating child care through referrals to specific child care programs.
  • We promote consumer education and parental choice in child care.
  • We offer parent seminars and other assistance to parents and families.
  • We provide inclusion services for families with children with special needs.

Employer Services

  • We work with employers to respond to the work/family needs of their employees by conducting needs assessments and feasibility studies, providing consultation, and offering enhanced referral programs.
  • We recruit providers for care during non-traditional work hours and help employers explore other options to meet workforce needs.

Technical Assistance to Child Care Providers

  • We offer technical assistance to child care providers and help new programs get started. We assist established programs with ongoing issues including regulations, zoning, professional development, and resource development.
  • We coordinate the training offered to providers to ensure a variety of training levels and options.
  • We list child care providers in our database and refer families needing care to providers who meet their needs.
  • We provide services to providers who care for children with special needs.

Community Resources and Data Collection

  • We serve as a community resource on child care throughout the the state.
  • We collect and supply data to community leaders, policy makers, foundations, funders, and others on the cost, supply, demand, and quality of child care.
